Pilot Citysteps with Roermond Bereikbaar (EN)
Roermond is the first city in the Netherlands to use Citysteps for the ride to the city, the so-called 'last mile'.
The Port of Rotterdam Authority and FlickBike, a startup of Mobility Lab, have started a pilot with shared bicycles in the Botlek area. These shared bicycles are available at all Connexxion bus stops in the Botlek and can be used for the last leg to work.
With the FlickBike, employees get to work faster. The bicycle is easy to remove from the special bicycle shed and can be taken to work. On the way back, the bicycle can be put back in the rack at the bus stop.
The Port of Rotterdam Authority makes it possible for all employees to use the bicycle for free in April. After that, the use of the bicycle costs € 1,- per half hour.
How it works
To be able to use the shared bikes, it is necessary to download the FlickBike app. After registration, the available bicycles are displayed on a map. The bicycle can then be reserved. The bicycle lock is opened by scanning the QR code on the bicycle.
Enter the promotional code ACTIEHAVEN during registration on the FlickBike app. The use of the bicycle is then free until June. Participants in who participate during this period automatically have a chance to win a dinner for two at Brasserie La Cocotte.
