What product or which service does your startup provide?
With our Connected Bikes solution, we unlock cycle ride data (Floating Bike Data) and convert this into useful information. Currently this is 300,000 bicycle rides per month. We want to increase this number and for that we are looking for new partners! Partners can be navigation apps, suppliers of bicycle trackers or suppliers of E-bikes. In exchange for this data, we offer all “connected” cyclists additional services such as prioritization at traffic lights via the data suppliers (in-app or on-board).

Who are the products or services intended for?
With the Connected Bikes data, we initially support policymakers: municipalities, provinces, road authorities or the national government. In addition, we reach the “connected” cyclist with our additional services via our data suppliers.

Which problem does your startup solve exactly?
Cycling is popular in the Netherlands. Across the country, there are nearly two bicycles for each of the 17 million inhabitants, and that number is growing steadily. In combination with the popularity of E-bikes, in addition to the many advantages, this also brings a number of challenges. Think, for example, of capacity problems on bicycle paths, more accidents due to higher speeds and a shortage of bicycle parking spaces. With Connected Bikes data, we support policymakers in making the right choices regarding cycling infrastructure so that these challenges can be minimized. In addition, through our services we make a direct contribution to the safety and comfort of cyclists.
