What product or which service does your startup provide?
Vertico 3D concrete printing provides a unique design and fabrication solution for construction. Our optimized designs make it possible to realize bridges that require up to 40% less material. We do this through topological design, an organic method that is also called bio-mimicry because it draws from the efficiency of nature. These tree-like structures cannot be made cost-effectively with traditional methods, but here concrete printing offers the solution. By exploiting the advantages of 3D printing and using industrial robots, we can realize revolutionary designs.

Who are the products or services intended for?
Our products and services are mainly used to remove the limitations of traditional pre-cast mold construction. We print the moulds, process traditional reinforcement and fill it with standard, certified concrete. This makes constructive applications possible and our customers are therefore in the construction industry. The contractor is often our direct customer, and we design and realize the bridges together with a structural engineer. We do not place on location, this is the responsibility of the contractor.

Which problem does your startup solve exactly?
Material reduction is one of the important methods for building more sustainably. Our technology offers an important solution in this area. Because we print the necessary shapes, molds are no longer needed. Molds are also a source of waste in construction. The technology also offers enormous freedom of design, allowing unique objects to be realised. The production process is completely digital, and therefore also fits in with the increasing need for digitization. In addition, our process represents a promising form of automation in construction, an area where construction is lagging far behind other industries.
