Transporters and fleet owners are faced with the challenge of reducing CO2, nitrogen and noise emissions. In order to make the switch from diesel to sustainable energy carriers, these entrepreneurs are looking for trucks that are profitable and practical to use.
Which problem does the startup solve exactly?
Diesel trucks and pollution are synonyms. And it’s even worse than you think, because did you know that 70% of the energy is lost before it reaches the wheels? And in practice, electric trucks consume just as much energy as a diesel. This is because these ‘sustainable’ trucks build on a powertrain that was designed more than 100 years ago for a diesel vehicle. Engine block, gearbox, drive shaft and perpendicular to the rear wheels. And how is everyone trying to solve the limited range? More batteries, more hydrogen and more frequent and faster refueling.

All parts that cause resistance and loss have been eliminated and energy only goes one way: the right one. A world first! We deliver great performance with little effort: stronger than a diesel, 3 times stronger than an electric truck and at the same time the energy consumption is halved. And this is just the beginning. Smesh-E-Axle is the solid foundation that makes it technically and economically feasible to electrify heavy trucks in a sustainable way, regardless of which energy carrier is used.
