The fifth edition of Mobility Lab has been successfully concluded. From no fewer than 65 applications at home and abroad, 25 startups were selected for the prime mobility startup program. After speed dates with more than 100 potential launching customers, 12 startups assured themselves of a collaboration with a first client. So far, more than 34 million euros in funding has been raised by the 75 participants from all five editions.
Together with one of the largest passenger transport companies in the Netherlands, Leap24 is testing a charging plaza for electric taxi buses. Ten vehicles can charge simultaneously at the charging plaza in South Holland. The electricity for this comes from, among other things, the solar panels of three nearby office buildings.
As of today, a KPN water taxi is sailing on the Rotterdam Maas. Currently with a captain, but with the ambition to allow the boat to sail autonomously in the long term, on the KPN network.
Members of Foundation Elderly Welfare Spijkenisse tested the first prototype. Based on their feedback, a few have been performed and now Scoozy is ready to hit the road.
